From time to time, I like to just blog about ideas about marketing so I remember to try them later on. Also, since I have been in the internet marketing game for a little while, I am very good at noticing what smart but discreet marketers are doing to make money. And this post is about one.
Most internet marketers will know about the CPA industry. This is were you sign up for a different type of affiliate program and get paid when you make a conversion from the people you send to them.
I came across someones Youtube profile here: http://www.youtube.com/user/NivenBehrer3052 which shows the latest comments he makes. Then go to one of the videos that he made a comment on and you will see his link discreetly to an CPA offer as show in the photo below. The link will redirect to the offer.
The other thing I noticed was that the videos were highly trafficked and relevant to the CPA offer. If you don’t already know, Youtube places a persons comment high above the rest when a lot of people hit the “thumbs up” button. On one of his videos here: you can see that his comment has over 60 thumbs up. After searching around, I noticed that he has multiple accounts which he probably logs into to each time to hit the thumb up button.
But wait, you can’t type in a URL link in the comments area!
When you type in a URL such as videoemailmarketingclub.com, Youtube automatically detects it and doesn’t let you post it for spam prevention. But there is a way around it and this guy found it out.
What he did was use a lower level unpopular domain such as .mn or .cr. He figured out that Youtube didn’t reject that domain extension. There are many different ones available so I am not sure which ones Youtube can detect. I guess its time for testing.
