Youtube obviously has a huge audience and its becoming more popular everyday. That’s why its a good idea to start marketing with video and getting exposure on Youtube right now. But some people will put up a video on Youtube and not get many views so this is one tip to get Youtube or other search engines to notice your profile page and videos. I have many tips to suggest which I will talk about later but this is one way to easily get more exposure from the search engines and people.
My first Youtube search engines crawl ability tip is to start leaving comments on other videos and getting them to be ranked high. If you haven’t realized, Youtube allows other people to thumbs up or thumbs down a comment that you leave on a particular video. If a bunch of people give you a thumbs down, your comment may get removed because its usually considered spam or a very ignorant comment.
If you get a bunch of thumbs up, then your comment with a link to your profile page will be placed on top above all the other comments. In other words, it gets displayed in the Highest Rated Comments section. This is very powerful because if its a popular video like the example I show in the screen-shot below, then you will get a lot of exposure to yourself. People are more likely to click on it and view some of your videos on your profile page. See the photo below.
You can see that this video has almost 3 million views with thousands of comments. Its usually very simple to get people to thumbs up your comment too. All you need to do is think of something creative that people will like and possibly do the same thing as this guy did and tell people to give you a thumbs up if they agree. For example, the photo shows someone stating, “thumbs up if you get goosebumps” from a music video that kind of gave out that type of feel.
With the simple technique that this person used, he is able to get more exposure from a video that gets millions of views so that people and search engines follow the profile link to his page. Remember to gets some great videos published also and don’t put up something that is strictly marketing or else it won’t stick with the community as much.
